Special train for a bride . Railway re - opened for wedding of daughter of Dungeness fisherman . The bride travelled in a special train to and from her wedding , when the little railway at Lydd , Kent , was opened specially for the wedding of Miss Annie Elizabeth Young , daughter of a Dungeness fisherman and her bridegroom , Mr Ambrose Bingham . The only means of transport between Miss Young 's home and Lydd , 3?miles distant , is the little railway , which crosses two miles of shingle .
