Motor cycle with streamlined body to attack world record , can reach 157 miles an hour . A remarkable new motor cycle which except for the wheels is enclosed in a streamlined ' body ' of entirely new design , is to be used for an attempt on the world ' flying kilometre ' record as the Florence Mare motor road , Italy . The motor cycle is the Rondine , built by the National Asronautical Company of Rome . It has four cylinders giving 500 CC and is water cooled . It has already won three championships . On the record attempt, the machine is expected to reach a speed of 235 kilometres an hour ( nearly 157 miles ) .
