Mr George Courtauld weds childhood sweetheart in Paris . Couple in love for 17 years . After a romance beginning in childhood and lasting 17 years , the wedding took place in the Mairie of the 16 Arrondissement , Paris , of Mt George Courtauld , then a boy in his teens , used to walk across the fields from the Courtauld estate at Earl ' s Colne , Essex to the house of neighbours to see a baby girl only a few days old . the baby girl is now the bride . Miss Booth is the daughter of Major H R and Mrs Booth of Paris . Mr Courtauld is the son of Mr and mrs Johns Bens Courtauld of Braintree and a cousin of Mr Samuel Courtauld , head of the rayon firm .
