Grandson of ex-Kaiser and Russian grand Duchess married for the third time at Doorn. The third wedding ceremony of Prince Louis Ferdinand, second son of the ex-Crown Prince of Germany and grandson of the ex-Kaiser, and the grand Duchess Kyra, daughter of the Grand Duke Cyril of Russia, took place at Doorn House, Holland, residence of the ex-Kaiser. The two previous wedding ceremonies, civil and Orthodox Church, took place at Potsdam.. The third ceremony, in accordance with German Protestant rite, was to gratify the ex-Kaiser's desire to see his grandson married. The former Emperor, still a martial figure in spite of his 79 years, or the grey dress uniform of a Prussian General at the ceremony.
