Big Soviet and Japanese battle still in progress, Moscow claims recapture of strategic hill. A battle between Soviet and Japanese troops which may have the gravest consequences is reported to be still in progress at the strategic hill of Changkufeng on the Soviet- Manchukuo frontier. An official communiqu矇 issued in Moscow announces that Soviet troops launched a counter-attack and have succeeded in recapturing the hill, from which the Japanese had driven them on Sunday. It is stated that the Japanese were ejected from Soviet territory with 400 casualties and the loss of 5 guns, Soviet casualties being admitted at 13 killed and 55 wounded, with the loss of one tank in one gun.
