Baddeley Cake cut for 144th year at Drury Lane Theatre. For the 144th year in succession, the Baddeley Cake was cut in the Grand Saloon, of Drury Lane Theatre, London, after the performance on Twelth Night. The ceremony was witnessed only by the management and the company appearing in the current play, Ivor Novello's ' Crest of the Wave', Robert Baddeley, a pastry cook who became an actor, left 瞿100 in 1794, the interest on the money to be used for the making of a cake to be eaten by the company at Drury Lane every Twelth Night. Photo shows, Mr C M Lowne, trustee of the Braddeley Cake fund, cutting the cake. Watched by members of the Drury Lane, caste- left to right, Marie Lohr, Ivor Novello, Dorothy Dickson, Walter Crisham and Ena Burrill. 7 January 1938
