World's Biggest All Make Scooter Rally at Southend Thousands of scooterists from all over UK riding scooters of every make took part in the biggest ever two wheel rally to be staged anywhere in the world today at Southend-on-Sea. It was organised by Lambretta Club of Great Britain as an International memorial rally to the late Ferdinando Innocenti, inventor and pioneer of the Lambretta Scooter, and who died last July at the age of 75.
