Lenny Bruce Denies Drug Allegation : North Hollywood, Calif., USA - Lenny Bruce (right), the US comedian and Robert Coogan (left), brother of former child-star Jackie Coogan, are pictured after their arrest here yesterday on suspicion of possessing heroin. Bruce denied possession of an ounce of heroin, which police said was in a book of matches. Bruce, the "sick" comedian who specialises in 4-letter words appeared at the London satirical nightclub, The Establishment, for a month earlier this year and is due for a return engagement in February 1963. This year he has appeared in Vancouver where police barred him. A month later he was sacked from a Sydney cabaret engagement after only two shows. There was another man arrested with Bruce and Coogan. 6th October 1962
