Messrs. Cresy and Taylor (Engllish architects) sketch of The Leaning Tower of Pisa in 1817. In other sketches they calculated the inclination on the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The sketches were published in 1829 in a book "Architecture of the Middle Ages in Italy". Their measurements show the lean to be 12 feet 7 inches without the cornice. A resurvey in 1910 found the lean to be 15 feet 11 inches out of perpendicular including the projection of the cornice which is 2 1/2 feet i.e. 13 feet 7 inches without the cornice. In a little under ten years the tower leaned therefore another 1 foot out of perpendicular which caused concern at the time. 30th July 1910
