One Way Diversion at Kings Cross. London: A picture taken at 90.30 this morning at the King's Cross end of Grays Inn Road, looking north down Caledonian Raod, where in connection with Scotland Yard's emergency traffic measures to combat last Monday's traffic chaos following the strike of underground train workers, a one way traffic scheme was in operation. Normally traffic using Grays Inn Road and Caledonian Road is allowed to flow in both directions, but under this morning's temporary one way diversion, north bound Grays Inn Road traffic was diverted to turning on left of picture, and south bound traffic from Caledonian Road was diverted into Kings Cross Road, on right, background. Despite the fact that underground train services were normal today, Scotland Yard decided to go ahead with the emergency one way traffic schemes. 5th February 1962
