Processional cross (reverse) - dated about 1360 - the Processional Cross of Lianciano shows the figures on the reverse side which are as beautiful as those which adorn the front. The figure in the centre appears to be intended to represent Christ teaching. Around him are four raised enamels of the four Evangelists. At the top is represented the crowning of the Virgin; the two Maries appear again at the extremities of the arms of the cross; and at the bottom is a representation of the administering of the extreme unction.
