Hundreds of mortgage applicants went along to the County Hall to learn more about the London County Council's new home loans for all plan. Under this new plan they are offering 100% mortgages on any house or flat within 50 miles of the capital, if its value is not more than ?,000. A special office was set up in the County Hall to deal with the rush of enquiries.
