Brecht's The Life of Galileo - Scientist Galileo played by Bernard Miles, the "father" of the mermaid Theatre, encouraging his apprentice Andrea (Michael Platt) to look through a lens stuck into the half of an apple at another lens in the other half of the apple resting on a ruler.
