The New Premier at No. 10. Lord Home who was invirted by the Queen to form a new administration pictured at the door of No. 10 Downing Street after his audience with her Majesty today. A waiting crowd of about 600 cheered as he arrived in Downing Street. Standing on the steps of No. 10 he said ' Her Majesty has asked me to form an administration and so, now, for the rest of the afternoon I shall be seeing my colleauges and consulting them. I shall be here for the rest of the day hard at work. It is a great honour to be asked to do this. I think I had better get on to work now.' 18th October 1963.
