London : Popular television and stage star , David Nixon , opens in a matinee ' s only show at Her Majestys Theatre , Haymarket tomorrow afternoon . David plays the narrator, 'Mr Pringle the journalist ' in Erich Kastner 's 'Emil and the Detectives ' dramatised by Julius Gellner , the new director of Drama for the Hebrew National Theatre and LCC school mistress , Miss M Lynette Sigley . David is shown at todays rehearsal , surrounded by ' Emil ' ( Glen Slowther ) centre , and other members of ' the gang ' who are reading a story written by ' Mr Pringle ' in a newspaper . 19th December 1962
