Sing In. American beat poet and 'pot' preacher Allen Ginsberg gives out with an Indian style chant at a hippie meeting in London's Hyde Park. Gingberg said 'we may not be able to turn on with the 'pot' (marijuana), but at least we can turn on with a chant'. The meeting was a kind of 'flower power' demonstration or loving protest, generally aimed at getting the smoking of 'pot' legalised. Some hippies pelted icy calm police with flowers, yelling 'we love you, we love you'. Passing tourists were puzzled to find themselves being photographed by the hippies who took great interest in the 'straight people' as hippies call anyone who looks and behaves normally. London, England. 16 July 1967.
