It has been announced that two Birmingham architects Mr Herbert Jackson and Mr Reginald Edmonds, both Fellows of the Royal Institute of British Architects are the winners of the ?000 prize offered for the new Crystal Palace's best design. The old one was destroyed by fire in 1936. The panel of judging assessors included Sir Kenneth Clark, Sir Patrick Abercrombie and Mr Lewis Silkin - Minister of Town and Country Planning and an exhibition of designs submitted is being held at the County Hall, London.
