In China a wedding feast may consist of hundreds of courses and last for three days, but when Miss Frances Chang married Lieut Yu Chang Chu, of the Chinese Navy, in the Soho (London) restaurant, of which she is managing director today (Sunday) .The ceremony was performed by the Chinese Consul in London, Mr Tan, who stood before two portraits of Dr Sun Yat Sen, founder of modern China, according to Chinese custom, bride and groom met outside the place of marriage and entered together. A formal introduction followed before the exchange of rings. to aknowledge the marriage, the couple bowed to each other and the ceremony ended with their playing of the national anthem. Lieut Yu Chang Chu, who is trained in a British submarine and served in the Mediterranean and at the Normandy landings, plans to take his London born bride back to China as soon as possible.
