When the Astradome of a B.O.A.C. constellation airliner carrying 34 passengers, blew off and filled the plane with rarefied air, the pilot Capt Kenneth Buxton (pictured here) put the plane into a 12,000 feet dive and saved the passengers. When the plane landed at London airport, the passengers said that Buxton Has Done a Wonderful Job. 28 October 1946
