Sing a song of snooker. Miss Lind Joyce, the vocalist of Itma fame, was practising snooker instead of songs today (Tuesday) and has become so proficient in her favourite hobby that she is entered for the next Women's Snooker Championship, which takes place in March. She is played the game for only three years and took it up because she grown tired of watching her husband, Mr MF Barrington play. He became a teacher and now Lind wins as many games as a husband. Recently she was beaten by Syd Fields, but looks forward to her forthcoming match with Vic Oliver, who has challenged her. Miss Joyce thinks that more women should take up snooker, which she describes as 'a delightful game'.
