Brownsea committed for trial. Percy Thomas Brownsea, 27, of New Barn Farm, Sixpenny Handley, Hants was at Wimborne (Dorset) police court today committed for trial at Winchester Assizes, charged with the murder of Uriah Jones, 29, of Shirley, Southampton. He pleaded 'Not Guilty' and reserved his defence. Miss Beatrice Sheen, fiancee of the dead man, told the magistrates how she and Jones were kissing on a settee by a window in her bungalow home at Six Penny Handley when a shotgun was fired into the room from outside. Jones received 66 pellet wounds in the head and neck, and died almost instantly. Miss Sheen received nine scattered wounds on the left side of her face.
