Six Labrador retrievers will be reporting Metropolitan Police Divisions in West London next week, complete with number, after undergoing training to pick up the scent of human beings and lead the police to them. Reporting with the dogs will be one Sgt and 5 constables who have trained with the dogs during the past 2 months at Imber court, Surrey, mounted police training centre, and part of their duties will be to go out on beats in suburban London with the constables.
