Glamorously gowned is alluring brunette and coumbia star Ellen Drew, who hass been picked to play opposite Larry Parks in a romantic drama of Eighteenth Century clan feuds in Scotland called The Swordsman. Columbia Pictures wanted someone who could wear the gowns of the perriod with distinction and as you can see here, Ellen was just the girl. She is wearing an authentic old dress print by stylist Jean Louis. It is in sky blue, with a motif of flower patterns. The pleated skirt has bustle pads at the hips, while the off the shoulder top is neatly twisted to give an air of distinction to an evening ensemble that was the vogue of the Eighteenth Century as well as being a model for today.
