The Governors of the International Monetary Fund held a meeting at the Institution of Civil Engineers, Great George Street today to which the press was invited. Attending were Mr John McCloy - President of the International Banke, Construction and Development, and Mr Camille Gutt - Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund and the meeting held special significance for Britain after the announcement that she had applied to the fund for a loan of $60 million.
