Mlle. Andree de Jongh, a 25 year old Belgian girl who saved the lives of many British airmen and soldiers, received the George medal from the king at Buckingham Palace today. The citation to the award told how Mlle. de Jongh was known to those she helped as "dede" from 1941 onwards said the citation unitl her arrest in January, 1943, she organised the dispatch of Allied Service personnel from Belgium to the Pyrenees. 13 February 1946
