John Webber.Waheiadooa; Chief of Oheitepeha; lying in state; recorded by Captain Cook during his visit to Tahiti on 19th August 1777. A funerary stage supports the shrouded corpse and an attendant. They are sheltered by a grass-roofed awning; and surrounded by a low palisade.
