An emblematical miniature showing that the lover's choice should be guided by spontaneous liking; rather than by a desire for wealth. The scene shows a child seated on a table; between two dishes; one is full of gold coins; and the other cherries. He chooses the cherries without hesitation; preferring the dish which appeals to his natural taste.
