A design by Doucet for the Princess Lazareff. Soft blue velvet spotted with white is the material for the skirt; it has a narrow edging of chinchilla. Over this is worn a bolero of the same fur; cut out across the chest; and turned back with large revers of black fox. The high upstanding collar of chinchilla is caught round the throat with a neckband embroidered in silver to match the belt. Huge of chinchilla and a hat by Caroline Reboux of soft black felt trimmed with two large feathers starting sideways from a great bow of tulle which is clasped in the centre by a buckle in old sliver.(London; England: 1898).From: The Powder Puff [An English edition of "La Mode artistique".; 1898].The Powder Puff Christmas plate 242London; British Library.
