This is a green cockroach of the family Panchloridae and the genus Panchlora. These roaches can suffer from a virus that humans can get (Serratia marcescens) which causes life threatening septicemia (from Latin American Insects and Entomology 簫 Hogue, 1993). This individual was photographed on a night hike at the CICRA research center, Madre de Dios, Peru.
