Blue-Line Chiton (Tonicella undocaerulea). This chiton is found in the low intertidal zone to depths of 125 feet. Its range is from Kodiak Island to San Muguel Island in California. It is also found in Japan and Russia. Its color closely matches the pink coralline algae on which it is most commonly found feeding. This chiton can be distinguished from the Lined Chiton, Tonicella lineatata, by the zig zag pattern on the head valve.
