The Chilean four eyed frog, Pleurodema thaul, has a trick for predators. When threatened, the frogs turn around and inflate their bodies. Two large eye spots, oscelli, become visible and presumably make a predator think it is dealing with an animal larger than a frog. These frogs were photographed calling in Chile, November 2013.
