Nysa (Nyssa ad Maeandrum), in ancient Caria, Turkey. Founded by the Seleucids in the 3rd century BC. Among major remains the Roman theater and bouleuterion (Strabo who studied in N. called it in his description of the city gerontikon, the "House of the Old").
