A group of limestone buildings on an outcropping overlooking the small town of Cashel. First fortified in the fourth or fifth century AD by Cornall Corc, the site became St. Patrick's Rock, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland. The architectural style is Hiberno/Romanesque. Located on the main Dublin-Cork road, it was home to the Kings of Munster in the 10th Century.
