This thick, stained vertical section shows parts of three hair follicles (the central one with its 'root' with papilla), two of them with arrector pilae muscles, three sebaceous glands and a coiled sweat gland (right-hand side). The lower half is almost entirely made up of adipose tissue (fat). Vertical Field Width = 3.5mm.
