Longleaf pines (Pinus palustris) with light fog in the early morning, Cartwheel Bay Heritage Preserve in Horry County, South Carolina, in July. The Cartwheel Bay Heritage Preserve was established to protect one of the few Carolina Bay-longleaf pine savanna complexes in South Carolina.
