Horse mushroom, Agaricus arvensis, is a widespread and deliciously edible species. It can reach a diameter of over 8 inches, and is very widespread in distribution. Identifying features are large size, purplish-brown gills free from stalk, and bruises yellow. That being said there are still several similar mushrooms that can be quite toxic if eaten.
