Burnt Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia) in Joshua Tree National Park, California. This photo was taken in May 2007 in Queen Valley next to Geology Tour Road near its intersection with Park Boulevard, on the site of lightning-ignited fire called Geo fire that occurred almost 11 months before in July 2006. This tree is not likely to recover from the fire.
