Flowers of giant foxtail (also known as Chinese foxtail, nodding foxtail or Chinese bristlegrass), Setaria faberi. The flowering structure is an example of a terminal inflorescence, or cluster of flowers. The inflorescence is at the top of the plant which is typical of wind pollinated plants. Giant foxtail was introduced from Asia and is now a noxious weed that reduces crop yields, especially in corn fields.
