Snowfall on giant sequoias, (Sequoiadendron giganteum); Kings Canyon National Park, California. These 2 giants, in Grant Grove, are called "Twin Sisters" and have been dusted by an overnight snowfall on February, 2009. Each of these twins has been measured at 22 feet DBH (diameter at breast height, about 4.5 feet above the forest floor). The estimated height of each is about 300 feet.
