The primrose-flowered butterwort, Pinguicula primuliflora in flower. The leaves are covered with a mildly sticky and greasy substance that captures small insects such as gnats. This carnivorous plant inhabits the the Gulf Coastal Plain from the Florida panhandle west to Louisiana.
