Rocky Mountain alpine fleabane, Erigeron grandiflorus, Mt. Aspen, Colorado. Flowering from July to August or September, on rocky sites and in meadows from 2900?4200 m. The taxonomy of this species is much debated, with some authorities listing it as E. simplex based on chromosome numbers (grandiflorus is triploid; "simplex" diploid).
