Bunsen Burner. This is a common piece of laboratory equipment used for heating, sterilization and combustion. The amount of oxygen mixed with the gas stream affects the result of the combustion reaction in the flame. Less oxygen produces a cooler reaction whereas more oxygen gives a hot blue flame.
