San Juan Coal-Fired Power Plant, between Farmington and Shiprock, New Mexico, The generating station is comprised of 4 units, with a combined power capacity of 1,800 megawatts. It is the 7th-largest coal-fired generating station in the western United States. The power plant is partially owned and operated by PNM Resources, an energy holding company and subsidiary of Public Service Company of New Mexico, headquartered in Albuquerque.
