A molecular model of triclosan, an antibacterial and antifungal agent used in many consumer products such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash and cleaning supplies. Triclosan works by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, a process necessary for replicating bacterial cell membranes.
