Changing a fuel element at High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR). Reactor operators use a small crane to remove a fuel element from the HFIR located at Oak Ridge National Lab. The 100 megawatt reactor produces the world's highest neutron flux, and is a key facility in the national program to produce and conduct research on man-made elements heavier than plutonium. Its principal product is the isotope Californium-252. Release date November, 2014.
