Located in an incredibly rich area of the Milky Way in Sagittarius, M8, the Lagoon Nebula, and M20, the Trifid Nebula are two of the most spectacular showcases in the entire night sky. Here, faint nebulosity and the entire extent of the M8 complex can be seen, as well as extremely dense star clouds and obscuring clouds of matter in the form of dark nebulae.
