The investiture of Narseh, Persian king of the Sassanid period. The 1700-year old relief is showing the ring of kingship, possibly presented by the goddess Anahita, (equal to Venus). The relief, shown here under the stars Taurus and Pleiades, is among eight reliefs of Sassanid kings located in Naqsh-e Rostam, in the Iranian province of Fars.
