Pralidoxime is used to treat poisoning by acetylcholinesterase inhibitors and organophosphates, including chemical nerve agents, insecticides and venoms. Pralidoxime, used in conjunction with atropine and diazapam, combats poisoning by displacing the poisoning agent from the active site of the inactivated enzyme. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (black), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red).
