November 28, 1997. A press-conference of Alexander Nikitin,a retired officer of the Russian Northern fleet,who was arrested by the St.Petersburg security service and charged with spying for the Norwegian Bellona environmetalist non-governmental organization occurred in the National Press Institute. As it was announced the defence expressed its disagreement with the statement that the information published in the Bellona report was a state secret,and that the prosecution based its accusation on the list of the classified information considered to be a secret by the orders the Ministry of Defence and not by the 'State Secret ' law.
