Richard?s / Australian Pipit - standing on the road (Anthus novaeseelandiae). Near Marble Bar, Pilbara, Western Australia. Found in open country right throughout Australia. Often seen on roads running off as a car approaches. Also found in Africa and Eurasia through to New Zealand. They eat sleep and nest on the ground.
